The American Psychological Association, in Washington, D.C., is the largest scientific and professional organization representing psychology in the United States and is the world's largest association of psychologists. APA's membership includes more than 150,000 researchers, educators, clinicians, consultants and students. Through its divisions in 54 subfields of psychology and affiliations with 60 state, territorial and Canadian provincial associations, APA works to advance psychology as a science, as a profession and as a means of promoting health, education and human welfare.

The Missouri Psychological Association encourages and supports the establishment in Missouri of all RxP training programs that duly meet, or will hereafter meet, established training criteria, as well as all Missouri educational, legal and business requirements including, but not limited to, any rules or requirements promulgated by the Missouri State Committee of Psychologists, Missouri Higher Education Coordinating Council, North Central Accreditation, and the American Psychological Association. MOPA will not partner with a single program, but will provide assistance to each program in terms of listings on the web site and assistance in disseminating information.
